I love the Aeron Chair by Herman Miller so much that I write about it, blog about it, write articles about it and now in my office, I have 7 fully loaded Aeron Chairs for all of my employees to sit and enjoy on. This is a great chair! We all know this. If you've never experienced the Aeron or this is the first time you're hearing about this top ergonomic desk chair - you are definitely missing out.
When I bought the 7 Aerons for my office, I did it through eBay - and bought it used from a seller who had 100% feedback rating. This is important that you make sure you're buying your Aeron from a reputable seller - especially if you're buying a used one.
You may be tempted to buy a used one from Craigslist or some other place but you never know if its a fake Aeron or the condition its in. The best way is to search through the web and decide on the type of Aeron you want (ie: Size A, B, or C) and the model you want (Basic or Highly Adjustable).
The Basic runs for around $699 and the Highly Adjustable runs for around $999. For me, if you're already ready to pay $699, might as well pay the extra $200 to get the top of the line Aeron chair model.
Then once you have your size and model, go to eBay and search for it as "used" - ie: "used Aeron size b highly adjustable". When you find a few results, scroll thru and see what kind of condition the chairs are in and if they have additional pictures. Then also check at the seller's feedback rating, see if he/she has sold to others before or if he/she is a new seller. Does he have a long history of positive reviews or no?
Once you've found your reseller, go ahead and bid on that used Aeron in confidence - because you are getting the best ergonomic desk chair on the market and you're paying less than half the price of a new one! Nice!
